"We decided to follow through on a list of home improvements we’ve wanted for many years. We hired an architect and laid out the plans. Our back porch was an aluminum shack tacked on to the back of our house. We liked the way the porch connected the house with the back yard and woods, but we knew it could be much nicer. So, we decided to raise the roof over our garage and family room to extend it over a post and beam back porch and finish off a master bedroom with walk-in closets and a storage room in the upstairs raised area. Our house also had an aging roof and no air conditioning and we wanted that changed too.
After interviewing several contractors, we hired J. Neville Construction because of several factors. First, they seemed to most understand the architectural plans that we spent so much time assembling. Second, they provided a more detailed estimate with fair pricing. Third, the general contractor introduced us to his sub-contractor team during our bidding process which gave us extra confidence in their ability to complete the work which covered several construction disciplines. And fourth, their job estimate included more finish work than other contractors bidding equally on the job.
J. Neville Construction delivered on their estimates. They completed the work within cost and schedule. They stuck to the drawings without requesting any modifications, and there were only a few minor add-ons to the job. They finished the job with craftsmanship and handsome detail. The general contractor, Jerry Neville, communicated with us on almost a daily basis as the job was worked. We are pleased with our new addition."
